This beach house is located on a sloped site confronting the Black Sea. Standing on top of the hill, the villa almost disappears from sight.

The house is built around a large courtyard covered by a light wooden pergola. This is the focal point of the house and it communicates with both its large kitchen and living rooms. This design choice was also made to allow people to enjoy being outdoors all day long despite the intensity of the climate. Indeed the pergola design helps mitigate bad weather and heat. The building never seems to dominate the landscape; in fact the structure establishes a symbiotic relationship with nature, also thanks to natural and traditional materials locally sourced.
